Welcome to the Office of Student Life (OSL). We are the home to registered student clubs and organizations, The National Pan-Hellenic Council, University Greek Council, and student leadership development programs. We also host the Student Volunteer Program, intramural sports, the ASU Game Room & E-Gaming Lab, and the Fitness Center.
The Office of Student Life, which is in the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, assists to fulfill the university’s mission by its ownmission of guiding and promoting unwavering student engagement, encouraging a sense of community, and providing opportunities for student growth and leadership development. The office aspires to create an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and enhances our students’ ability to become global citizens.
The Office of Student Life is currently divided into seven areas to ensure that the specificity of the university’s mission is met as well as the mission of the Office of Student Life. Those specific areas are designed to foster critical thought, encourage artistic creativity, develop professional competence, and promote responsible citizenship in its students. Those areas are:
- Academic Collaborations - Developing partnerships and initiating joint activities, events and programs that are inclusive of academicians on the campus is a priority of the Office of Student Life. Academic Collaboration and Initiatives serve as a nexus between colleagues at Alabama State University and the Office of Student Life.
- Athletics Collaborations – Our athletics programs are integral to the engagement of students on campus. The Office of Student Life works closely with our athletics department and teams to create atmospheres that are appealing to our student body as well as the broader ASU community.
