HISTORY: Academic Advisement at ASU

The Academic Advisement and Resource Center was designed to provide continuous centralized academic advising and essential academic support services to new and continuing ASU students who did not meet the requirements for EXIT from University College (first year college) to their Major College.

The Center was established in 1979 to help students realize the maximum benefits from their educational experiences and guide them into selecting successful and desirable Majors and future careers.

Academic Advising is an important part of the University’s commitment to students' growth and academic development. It is evident, effective academic advising can have a powerful influence on students' success in the college environment.

Academic Advisement is a division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and University College.
