Criminal Investigations

Gain a strong foundation in the fundamentals of investigation and crime scene application as you learn more about interviews and interrogations, eyewitness identifications, crime scene reconstruction and much more.

Law of Evidence

Focusing on evidence in criminal cases, you’ll learn more about judicial notice, presumptions, real and circumstantial evidence, burden of proof, confessions and admissions and much more.

 

What Can You Do With a Criminal Justice Bachelor’s Degree?

At ASU, our undergraduate degree in criminal justice equips you with broad-based knowledge and skills that can be applied in many fields. From corrections and law enforcement to court administration and social justice, you will find opportunities to pursue jobs with a criminal justice degree.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs with a criminal justice degree are projected to grow 7% over the next decade. Many of the graduates from our criminal justice bachelor’s degree program have the opportunity to be gainfully employed with:

  • Federal and state agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Department of Homeland Security or the Alabama Bureau of Pardons
  • Various state corrections agencies here in Alabama and beyond

You can also find graduates of our criminal justice degree program continuing their studies in various criminal justice, law and sociology master’s and doctoral programs.
