At ASU, your undergraduate degree in biology will focus on the study of living organisms and their physical structure, physiological mechanisms and chemical and molecular interactions. Gain hands-on experiences throughout your studies.

Our undergraduate students frequently join faculty members on in-house research projects and with the National Science Foundation HBCU-UP Program. They also take advantage of established external research partnerships with collaborative institutions and organizations. Students who major in biology have the option of participating in the medical program partnerships we have with the University of South Alabama School of Medicine, the Virginia Tech Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Baptist Health Pre-Med Scholars Program and the Medical School Early Assurance Program with the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Whatever your research interests are as a major in biology, you’ll have the chance to pursue them.
