UnboundBy Hazel Scott/ASU

The Alabama State University Department of Theatre and Dance will present “Unbound,”  its 2026 Fall Dance Concert, November 18–20 at 7 p.m. each evening in Ralph D. Abernathy Hall, 1625 Harris Way in Montgomery.

Under the artistic direction of BFA Dance Professor Rodney Williams, “Unbound” will spotlight the talent, passion and creativity of ASU’s Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Dance students through a concert celebrating movement, artistic expression and the power of dance.

The production provides an avenue for students to showcase their artistry, technical skills and individual perspectives while bringing audiences together through the universal language of movement. Through the concert, the Department of Theatre and Dance continues to highlight its student performers' dedication and creative development.

“‘Unbound’ offers our students an opportunity to push beyond limitations, embrace their individuality and express their artistic voices through movement,” said Williams. Noting that the choreography is primarily created by faculty, Williams added, “We are excited to present a concert that reflects our students’ growth, creativity and passion for dance. We invite everyone to attend.”

The three-night performance will invite the University community and the public to experience the emerging talent of ASU’s BFA Dance students in a production that celebrates artistic exploration and the freedom of expression.
