Alabama State University’s assistant professor of Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Vineeth Vijayan, will present his groundbreaking work at the prestigious American Society Southeastern Meeting of the American Chemical Society (SERMACS), Nov. 4-7 in Memphis, Tennessee.
The symposium, titled “Advances in Polymer Science for Pharmaceutical, Biomedical, Regenerative Medicine Applications,” gathers researchers, faculty, students, and industry professionals from across the southeastern United States in areas including
biomaterials, polymer science, nanotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, and regenerative medicine.
“Receiving an invitation to speak at this respected regional meeting highlights the growing national recognition of Alabama State University’s research in biomedical engineering and biomaterials, particularly in the areas of polymeric biomaterials, tissue engineering scaffolds, and regenerative medicine applications,” said Vijayan.
His presentation will highlight innovative developments in polymeric biomaterials and tissue engineering scaffolds from his ASU lab, emphasizing their potential in regenerative medicine.
Beyond sharing his work, Vijayan is eager to inspire his students to engage actively with the scientific community by encouraging them to present their own research through oral and poster sessions.
“This opportunity promises to spotlight the vibrant scholarly activity and research talent nurtured at ASU, marking an important milestone for both faculty and students alike,” emphasized Vijayan.
