The mission of Alabama State University's Institutional Advancement is to strengthen the culture of engagement and philanthropy by supporting, encouraging, and building upon the University’s academic vision and economic goals. By reaching beyond campus boundaries to serve and be a part of our community for the betterment for all, Institutional Advancement serves as the central hub for cultivating alumni, student, and corporate relationships by establishing long lasting partnerships, strategically promoting the image of the University by providing communications media and services purposefully designed to enhance retention and enrollment for the current and future goals of Alabama State University. The following offices operate under Institutional Advancement: Office of Alumni Relations, Office of Development, ASU Foundation, Office of Marketing and Strategic Communications and  WVAS FM Radio Station.
