Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Beta Upsilon Chapter

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was founded on December 4, 1906 in Ithaca, New York at Cornell University. The Beta Upsilon chapter was chartered on the campus of Alabama State University on April 15, 1936. Since then, the chapter has continued to excel and prosper exponentially. Some of the many accomplishments include to the following:  International Collegiate Brother of the Year (2019), National Stroll-Off Champions (2019), Southern Region College Chapter of the Year (2020, 2021 & 2022), and Southern Region Collegiate Scholars Bowl (2022 Runner Up). LaBoris D. Perry serves as president, and Dr. Calvin Smith serves as advisor.

Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc. Beta Pi Chapter

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. had its humble beginnings as the vision of nine college students on the campus of Howard University in 1908. Since then, the sorority has flourished into a globally-impactful organization of nearly 300,000 college-trained members. The Beta Pi chapter was chartered February 6, 1938. The chapter is currently under the leadership of Connie Thomas, Graduate Advisor and Haley Heard, Chapter President.

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Gamma Sigma Chapter

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. was founded November 17, 1911. The motto of Omega Psi Phi states that “Friendship Is Essential to the Soul.” The Gamma Sigma chapter chartering day was April 1, 1936.  The chapter president is Steven Henderson Jr. and the adviser is Michael Snapp.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Beta Eta Chapter

In 1937, the Beta Eta chapter was the first sorority to be chartered on Alabama State University's campus, and has been serving the campus and community for 85 years. The chapter consistently works to uphold the vision of the sorority’s 22 founders, and the 15 charter members of the Beta Eta Chapter. The members are proud of previous accomplishments and are excited to continue to build upon them. Amiyah Wilson serves as chapter president and Dr. Carmela Drake serves as advisor.

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Gamma Beta Chapter

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. was founded on January 9, 1914 by A. Langston Taylor, Leonard F. Morse and Charles I. Brown. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was the first greek organization to start a youth auxiliary group, The Sigma Beta Club. The Gamma Beta chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was chartered on the campus of Alabama State University on May 20, 1949. The current chapter president is Amir Kelly-Hughes and the chapter advisor is Mr. Reginald Lorick.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded January 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University. Zetas stand on four principles: scholarship, service, sisterhood, and finer womanhood. The Epsilon Beta chapter was chartered in April of 1947. The chapter has exemplified excellence and strives to maintain a positive reputation.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Beta Chi Chapter

Chapter Bio: Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was founded on November 12, 1922 at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. The sorority prioritizes sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Its slogan is "greater service, greater progress." The Beta Chi chapter at Alabama State University is being presided over by Basileus Skye Love with Ladonna White as the advisor.  The chapter regularly hosts and organizes community service events to give back to the community.

Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. Delta Eta Chapter

Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. was founded on September 19, 1963. On February 9, 1999, the Alabama State University Colony of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. was started as an interest group of the Alpha Pi Chapter at Morehouse University in Atlanta, Ga. Under the guidance of the Alpha Pi Chapter, Alpha Chapter Graduate Brothers, and Brother Antonio Smith, a charter line began. In 1999, there were two lines chartered, one in fall and one in spring. Justin Stephens serves as president and Jarvis Carlisle serves as advisor.
