Alabama State University President, Dr. Quinton T. Ross, Jr., will join the chairman of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., Thomas W. Dortch, Jr., for the ringing of the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Monday, Oct. 24.
“As a proud member of the 100 Black Men of America, I am deeply honored to be invited to join my good friend Tommy Dortch in the NYSE closing bell ceremony,” Ross said. “ASU’s partnership with this prestigious organization includes a student chapter on our campus. The 100 Black Men continues to have a tremendous impact on the lives of young black men across the country. I am thrilled to take part in this time-honored tradition as the organization is recognized for their philanthropy and service.”

100 Black Men of America, Inc. Chairman to Ring Closing Bell at NYSE on October 24th With Executive Board Members and Stakeholders
Atlanta, GA – October 17, 2022 – 100 Black Men of America, Inc., the largest volunteer network of black men focused on mentoring minority youth, today announced its Chairman Thomas W. Dortch, Jr. will ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Members of the 100’s Board of Directors, chapter leadership teams, members from across the United States, stakeholders, and family members will be in attendance. Ringing the bell will commemorate the work of Chairman Dortch and the many years chapters have educated and empowered youth and their communities. This month, the 100 is celebrating the 36th Year Anniversary of forming the headquarters organization, which connects chapters from coast to coast and connects International chapters of 100 Black Men.
