Alabama State University is inviting the community to join its Hornet Nation Read & Rise: A virtual Experience on Feb. 1, 2022, via Facebook Live, www.facebook.com/asu. The event will include two virtual sessions, 9:30 a.m. CST and 1 p.m. CST.
Read & Rise, which is the kickoff festivity for ASU’s 122nd Founders’ Week Observance, has been designed to reach all students with consideration of virtual and face-to-face learning environments.
Each reader will engage participants with his or her favorite book. Those participating will be able to select the time they want their child or class to login. All sessions are based on Central Standard Time. The presentation features reading a favorite book, a brief explanation of the book and a discussion about the importance of reading and the influence books have had on the readers’ lives. If time allows, there will be a question and answer session.
