Alabama State University’s Office of Admissions and Recruitment is gearing up for
its Spring Connection Day-ish College Fair Saturday, February 18, from 9:30 to 11
a.m. along Harris Way, in front of the ASU Stadium.
Current high school juniors and seniors, as well as prospective transfer students,
will have an excellent opportunity to take a closer look at ASU. Parents also are
encouraged to attend.
During the event, attendees will have an opportunity to: tour the ASU campus and visit campus
life (housing, dining, student organizations and activities), meet the ASU family,
and explore more than 53 undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs. Attendees
also are encouraged to bring their official transcript and ACT/SAT scores for possible
on-site admission.
The one-day, in-person event is in collaboration with Honda Battle of the Bands, which
will kick off with a pre-show at 11 a.m. and the Battle beginning at noon. The Battle
is hosted by Rickey Smiley and Loni Love with superstar and ASU alum, 2 Chainz, giving
a live halftime performance.
Registered students will receive free tickets to the Honda Battle of the Bands, which
will feature the Mighty Marching Hornets, Savannah State University, Virginia State
University, Langston University, Morgan State University and Texas Southern University.
