Business Website Setup for Free by ASU's Small Business Development Center & Go Daddy

- Take ASU's Small Business Development Center's Six-Week Digital Marketing Course to Have a Free Online Presence.

- Online class, just once a week, from Oct. 6 - Nov. 10 (on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. -  8:30 p.m.) gets your business a great website and more.

An old adage says "There is no such thing as something for nothing," but that doesn't apply for the upcoming online course sponsored by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Alabama State University. The SBDC's director, Andrea Rogers Mosley, explains that all interested business owners have to do to get a free professional website for their business or non-profit company is contact her office, take a six-week online course that only meets one night a week for just three hours, and they will have a website and the information they need to develop the site to help with the growth of their businesses. The course and website are powered by GoDaddy, one of the nation's top website sources. 

"If anyone needs a website for their business or nonprofit and are ready to see their virtual impact grow and expand by having an online presence for potential clients to experience the ultimate customer experience, then sign up for our October - November online course and obtain the knowledge, tools, skills, and mentorship needed to build a successful digital presence at no cost or obligation," Mosley said.  

TEAMED-UP WITH GODADDY

Alabama State's SBDC has partnered with GoDaddy and TruFund Financial Services, Inc., to provide a premium digital marketing curriculum and expert support and services to business owners or non-profit managers in the Montgomery/River Region area and throughout Alabama -- all at no cost. All that is required to participate is that the interested party have an existing business or a start-up company, which is in its launch phase.

"It is a six-week technical assistance program that will equip small business entrepreneurs with all of the training, tools, and a network of similar businesses to help them create or improve an online digital website," Mosley stated.  

WHEN DOES IT START?
The cohort will run from Oct. 6 - Nov. 10, 2022, on Thursdays nights only, from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This course will provide business owners or non-profit managers with the resources to create the website they have always wanted with their personalized content in a secure environment. The program offers two years of FREE web hosting, a domain name, business email, and online technical support for the website's owner.

HOW TO ENROLL AND SIGN-UP
Both pre-registration and an entrepreneur qualification survey are required to enroll in the course.  Participation in the entire six-week course is mandatory to receive the free Web hosting.

Instructions for signing in to the virtual cohort course sessions will be forwarded to participants in a separate email for each weekly session beginning Oct. 6 - Nov. 10 (each Thursday between these dates at 5 p.m.) to join the ZOOM meeting. Once signed in to ZOOM, each participant will be placed in a virtual waiting room and admitted individually to the class.
