ASU's President Ross is Graduation Speaker at Reid State Technical College on May 13

Alabama State University President Dr. Quinton T. Ross, Jr., will serve as the Commencement Ceremony speaker at Reid State Technical College (Reid State), located in Evergreen, Ala.,  on May 13 at 6 p.m.

President Ross, who serves as the 15th President of ASU, stated that he is honored and excited to join Reid State’s President, Dr. Coretta L. Boykin, at the college’s graduation ceremony.

“I am deeply honored and humbled by this invitation to share in this celebration of academic excellence at Reid State Technical College. I hope to inspire their graduates as they prepare to take the next important steps in their life’s journey,” Ross said

Reid State Technical College is a degree-granting, two-year institution that provides quality academic and technical education to students from diverse backgrounds and abilities. The college promotes economic growth by preparing a qualified workforce for business and industry.

Reid State Technical College was created by the Alabama State Legislature through a State statute on May 3, 1963. 

Through this enabling legislation, the College was chartered to provide citizens of the area greater and equal access to postsecondary education to help provide a trained workforce for area employers to assist in the economic development of the area.
