Alabama State University's Counseling Center is hosting a Mental Health Awareness Fair on June 17, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The ASU Stadium. The event is free and open to the public.

Tonya C. Cleveland, MS, ALC, Counselor/Coordinator of Groups and Workshops at ASU's Counseling Center said the increase of senseless gun violence in our nation has created trauma in the community.

"It seems like every week the nation is undergoing some sort of traumatic event; the shooting at Sam's Club in Montgomery; the hate crime in Buffalo, New York, and the nation's recent premature death of 18 innocent victims in Texas," Cleveland said. "Our community needs to know, that there's help and it's okay to talk to someone."
