Alabama State University's College of Visual and Performing Arts is excited to offer the "Piano for Children" program this fall for children ages 6-12. The classes will be held from September 26 and 27 to November 15, 2022.

The program provides weekly instruction where students meet together in group lessons with ASU music faculty. They will learn how to read note names, how to count rhythms, and how to play basic five-finger songs on the piano.  At the end of the session, we host a fun family recital for the kids where family and friends get to come and see their children play on the big concert grand piano in our recital hall.

The classes are taught in the digital keyboard lab at ASU's Tullibody Music Building, located at 1001 University Drive. There is an intermediate class that meets on Mondays at 5 p.m. and a beginner class that meets on Tuesdays at 5 p.m.

Registration for the fall session closes on Friday, September 23, 2022.
