Information about Pell Grant for Mini-Term Sessions and Direct Loan Program Eligibility (As of 9/21/2023)

Pell Grant for Mini-Term Sessions

Pell-eligible students who are enrolled in any mini-term session and are NOT currently enrolled full time will have their Pell Grant funds applied to their student account upon completion of enrollment verification. Please be aware that this date specifically applies to mini-term sessions within the semester attended and students who are pell eligible BUT are currently less than full time status. We encourage you to plan your finances accordingly and to reach out to our office if you have any questions or concerns regarding your Pell Grant.

Direct Loan Program Eligibility

To receive either type of loan under the Direct Loan Program, it is essential that you are enrolled at least half-time at Alabama State University. This requirement ensures that you meet the eligibility criteria for federal student loans. If you intend to apply for a Direct Subsidized or Unsubsidized Loan, please ensure that your enrollment status aligns with this criterion.
