asu community

Alabama State University has been an integral part of the local community since it began with a dream to improve the lives of black Americans by providing them with an education that could be passed on to future generations. As ASU has grown, so has our impact on the city of Montgomery, the state of Alabama and the world at large.

Today, that commitment to serve the community is an integral part of our academic programs. It is a commitment that forms the foundation of our outreach efforts and local business services and partnerships, and it lives in the hearts of our students, faculty and alumni who find a sense of accomplishment in their efforts to make a difference in Montgomery and around the globe.
