Credit balance release

 

 

In some instances, students will be due a refund of certain costs and fees.  Credit Balances are processed on a daily basis during the first week of school and thereafter on Tuesdays and Thursdays for all eligible registered students.

Fall Semester 2023

Refunds of excess financial aid will begin processing the week of September 4, 2023.

Spring Semester 2024

Refunds of excess financial aid will begin processing the week of January 29, 2024.

Summer Semester 2024

1st Disbursement - Refunds of excess financial aid will begin to be processed the week of June 10, 2024.

2nd Disbursement – Refunds of excess financial aid will begin to be processed the week of July 1, 2024.

Stop Payment Request

If your refund check is lost or damaged and you would like to request a replacement, please stop by our office to complete a Stop Payment Request form. If the refund is dated January, 2014, please contact The BankMobile Disbursement Team regarding stop payments by visiting https://vibe.bmtx.com// and select FAQ.



Official Withdrawal  

It is the student's responsibility to withdraw officially from the University or withdraw from a particular course in accordance with university regulations.

A student is responsible for clearing any outstanding balance on his or her account before leaving the campus. A refund request (if a refund is due) can be made at the time of clearance.

Students suspended from school for disciplinary reasons are not eligible for refunds.

In the event of death or involuntary call to active military duty, no charges will be assessed, and refund of full tuition and fees will be granted.

In all cases of withdrawal from the University, charges will be prorated. Please see Academic Calendar for details.

In all cases of enrollment cancellation from the University, students will not be charged tuition and fees.



Tuition, Fees, Room and Food

All charges (tuition,fees, room and food) are payable in full upon registration.

NOTE: Room deposits are non-refundable. A student who is dismissed or suspended from Alabama State University for reasons in accordance with the law,  rules and regulations of the University or is placed on terms of probation, whereby such terms of probation prohibit the student from residing in university housing, shall not be eligible for any refund or adjustment in room or board.
